4) Corrah best shots

I love the angel of the staircase and the way it's spirals out of the shot, as well as the lighting coming down from the window creates a sort of a light at the end of the tunnel kinda feel.

I really liked the angle that this shot was taken in respect to the dimensions of the room. I think it creates a movement in the image as appose to it being a very still landscape shot. I cropped the photo fairly narrowly as there was a lot of dead space and I felt the shot was a lot more dramatic like this.

I really like the geometry of all the lines created by the architecture in this image.

This is definitely my favourite shot from this shoot. I really like the contrast between the shot and the hallway. I feel having my friend taking a photo of the deserted building adds a nice narrative.

3) Corrah Shoot Contacts

Even though all the contact sheet photography I found was using black and white film, I still wanted to try and do some shoots in digital. I still like the way the digital contact sheets come out.

2) Research 2: Contact sheets

Whilst researching through contact sheet photography, I found I preferred just regular scans of contact sheets that isn't intended to be one piece more interesting. Using multiple images for one piece as a set can have a greater impact and show multiple points of view on something (no pun intended). I also liked looking through the images in order from start to finish; it's interesting seeing the changes the photographer makes to the shot, as well as it acting as a timeline through a a shoot or day out. A lot of non photographers often discredit a photo by saying something like "oh yeah it's a nice photo, but they probably took about a hundred to get that one" I think using a contact sheet as a piece of work shows evidence of their thinking and also showcases photos from a shoot that the viewer may not have seen otherwise as the photographer didn't feel is was good enough or didn't like it. It also reminds me a bit of when you can watch some of the deleted scenes from film, and seeing what didn't make the cut.

1) Research 1: Contact sheets as an image

Having multiple shots really emphasizes the turning on the round and almost makes it leap out towards you as you're looking round the image.

Analog photo DIY: Make one single pic from a whole roll of film, like Zamario did with this neat contact sheet portrait.

This is my favorite piece that I found. The multiple eyes and outlines of the face being slightly off reminds me of looking through a kaleidoscope.
